We really like using this tool because it’s fun for us. It’s pretty high tech and pretty expensive. And it gets results. Ok, hold on. Nobody gives a hoot what tools we dentists have.
At Smiles Unlimited, we love to meet you, get to know who you are, before discussing goals for your teeth. This will be unlike your previous dentist, who likely either jumped in and started lecturing you on not brushing your teeth properly, or saying nothing at all and diving straight into “treatment”
Common goals for young people would include: “I want to keep my teeth healthy” or “I want to keep my own teeth for life” or “I want my smile to look nicer” – ok! That means, we will have to inform you of any risks threatening you from attaining those goals – like cavities and gum disease right?
For more seasoned folks, the goals are still the same! How we get there may be a little different considering the challenges that are present as we get older. However, our job is to inform you of any damaging conditions that you may not yet detect, and allow you to make a choice for treatment. Now, nobody ever said “Dentistry is so affordable, and easy to do”. Dentistry is expensive. But so is buying a car, going on holidays (lost income!), or doing renovations on your home. Dentistry requires a lot of time, and a lot of work. Those who made the choice to invest in themselves, and have their entire mouths cared for, only regretted not making that decision sooner. Those who choose to avoid dentistry may be a bit more shy in showing their smiles.
So let us help take care of you. If you know of anyone who merely tolerates their dentist, or keeps complaining of dental problems, we would love to meet your network of friends and family.
